The Uley Ethnic Resort is a simple, self-sufficient yet well attended hotel located on a vegetable patch on the banks of the River Indus, from which India derives its name. A small group of solar heated cottages sprawled across organic gardens presents a vibrant, yet traditional feel oozing simplicity and cozy comfort. One of Ladakh’s oldest guesthouses, this Resort is nearing its 40th service anniversary. A quarter of an hour west of Alchi, the Uley Ethnic Resort has been preserving the essence of its land, presenting guests with an authentic slice of Leh.
