Embark on a journey that takes you to witness the finest of grand traditions set by erstwhile Maharajas. Go vintage at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur where the royal collection of classic cars will take you down memory lane.
Hovering high above the sandy plains of Jodhpur, the Umaid Bhawan Palace was designed and built over 15 years in the 1900s to substitute Meherangarh Fort as the emblem of Jodhpur. Commissioned by the then Maharaja Umaid Singh, the palace was built to provide employment to Marwari people who had long been suffering from drought and famine. Presently, the grandson of Umaid Singhji resides at this landmark palace whose 26 acres of manicured grounds are in stark contrast to the desert surroundings.
