The ultimate Goan retreat, nestled in the quaint surroundings of the crumbling Fort of Chapora, having amazing views of the river and a marine harbor, a three century old Portuguese-styled mansion awaits. Refurbished and transformed into a tranquil boutique hotel, a process that took the better part of three years to complete, secured Siolim House as one of Chapora’s best hotels.
Comprising seven delightfully done up rooms and two character-filled suites, the mansion offers a great insight into Portuguese architecture and customs. The seven AC guestrooms are placed on the lower level, and encompass royal antique beds, long windows to let the air in and a shower room, in its large area. Two suites lie on the upper level, and in contrast to the rooms, are only fan cooled. Guests can take a dip in the swimming pool to escape the heat or relax in any of the lounge areas, spread across the gardens or courtyards of the mansion. A pillared courtyard housing a beautiful fountain creates a rosy picture of Siolim House.
