Upper Mid Range
The medieval settlement of Pragpur, in the breathtaking Kangra Village of Himachal Pradesh houses a breathtaking three century old, painstakingly restored ancestral cottage. Kissing this chalet at a height of 2000 feet; is a large country manor that is reminiscent of the British Raj in India. Nestled in the lap of 12 acres of delectable orchards, this manor, built in 1918, in the Indo-European style overlooks the magnificent Dauladhar Mountains. This mansion was constructed by Bhandari Ram for his son, Justice Sir Jai Lal. As the judge resided here, it became colloquially famous as Judge Sahib Ki Kothi, which led to its nomenclature as WelcomHeritage Judge’s Court.
