Formally known as the National Capital Territory; Delhi has been consistently colonized after the 6th century BC and is the country capital today. Legend states that the city was once the location of Indraprastha, the capital of the Pandava clan. Delhi is home to 1,200 heritage structures, over 175 historical monuments and is a major travel hub.

Activities

Experience the tour of New Delhi to visit the Humayun's tomb, which is regarded as a precursor of the Taj Mahal. You drive through the embassy district, see the Government House and the India Gate and Laxmi Narayan Birla temple. In Old Delhi you see beautiful Jamma Mosque, drive through the fascinating Chandni Chowk (Moonlight Square).Experience the magnificent Red Fort, famous for its royal apartments with finely carved and inlaid marble, and the Raj Ghat, where the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi was cremated.A rickshaw driver takes you on a journey through different routes, which shows you the beauty of Old Delhi's from a different angle, and take you to beautifully landscaped shops and bazaars.

The highlight of the tour to visit the world famous fabulous Taj Mahal at sunset. In unparalleled perfection and beauty shines this "most expensive token of love of all time" today in white marble. A mausoleum by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1631 for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal was built. 20,000 workers have it built in 22 years, a dream of white marble, rising in perfect proportion in an elegant garden of fountains. Also, visit Fatehpur Sikri. The halls, palaces and mosques are still in perfect condition, and will inspire you. You can see the grave of the Muslim saint Sheikh SalimChisti, Panchmahal and the Buland Darwaza.

 

Jaipur (2 nights)

The capital city of the desert state of Rajasthan, Jaipur is reminiscent of the royal way of life that was once integral to this region. Today it is fondly referred to as the “Pink City” because of the trademark structures that sit here.

Activities

A guided excursion to Amber Fort. Enjoy a ride in Amber Fort on a decorated elephants up in the court of the palace. Visit the public audience hall (Diwan-i-Am), the magnificent Ganesha gate and the palace of mirrors (Shish Mahal). Stop for a Lunch in a typical Rajasthani thali at a local restaurant, in which there is also an Indian turban museum. After lunch visit the Palace of Winds (Hawa Mahal) and the world's largest stone observatory - the Jantar Mantar.

 

Jodhpur (1 night)

Often referred to as the “Sun City”, it is named so because of the bright sunny weather that continues to bless these lands all year round. This enchanting dessert city was founded by the then chief of the Rathore Clan, Rao Jodha way back in 1459. Formerly referred to as Marwar, this is the second largest city in the state and offers charming experiences through the Old and New parts.

Guided tour to visit Jaswant Thada, a marble monument with many pillars. Take a hike from the old town of Jodhpur Mehrangarh Fort.

Udaipur is a noted tourist destination in Rajasthan and is considered one of the most beautiful cities in India. The city looks marvelous with Lake Pichola on one side and the Aravalli ranges on the other. Besides, Udaipur is also dotted with beautiful palaces, havelis, and forts that remind us of the wonderful architecture of the past.

Activities

Proceed for a guided tour of this lovely city which will include the City Palace, Jagdish Temple and a boat ride on scenic Lake Pichola. Take a trip to Haldighati in the Aravalli hills (40km); visit the Eklingji Shiva temple near Devigarh; explore the impressive temple ruins at Nagda (22 km).

Varanasi is a holy city and is famous as one of the oldest cities in the world. Also popularly known as Banaras, it is located in the state of Uttar Pradesh on the banks of Holy Ganges.

Activities

Early morning start with a boat ride on the Ganges. Later a visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple followed by Sarnath - Buddhism has its roots here. Buddha gave his first sermon at Sarnath, in which he introduced his first five disciplines of the Buddhist monastic life. In the evening watch the Aarti ceremony on the so-called ghats.
