The Extraordinary Govardhan Matha

The Govardhan Peeth is a major attraction with a beautiful façade built by Adi Shankaracharya who was believed to be an avatar of God Mahadev. The 9th century structure is an important part of Orissa’s heritage and is a much frequented pilgrimage site, visited by the devotees of Lord Shiva.
