The History and Culture of Gwalior Once the seat of the Pratiharas, Tomars, Marathas, and Kachwahas, all reigning Rajputs; the regal history of this location is best experienced in its multitude of forts, palaces, temples and other monuments that add character to this city.

While you are exploring this region, make it a point to visit the Gwalior Fort, often referred to as the Gibraltar of India that comes with impressive architectural design that is not only aesthetic but also extremely resilient. Other exciting attractions include the Ghau’s Tomb enclave that is the tomb of a noted Sufi, the guru of Tansen.
