Spiritual / Temple tour
The revered temple of Lord Venkateswara situated at the Tirumalai Hills,
close to the town of Tirupati, is a major pilgrimage centre for the
devout Hindus. Devotees from all over the world visit the temple to make
offering and some even tonsure their hair to offer it at the temple. A
masterpiece of Dravidian temple architecture, the main sanctum has a
gold gilded Vimana (canopy) over the status of Lord Venkateshwara. Close
by to the temple is the Shrine of Goddess Alamelumarga at Tiruclanur (
sonsort of Lord Venkateswara).
Located on the hills of Tirumalai, the temple surroundings are very
scenic with waterfalls and rich greenery.

Day 01
Arrive Chennai. Met by India Calling Representative and
transfer to hotel.
Afternoon city tour visiting Fort St. George, St Mary’s Churdch, St
Thomas Mount, Kapaleeswarar and Parthasarathy Temples. Evening at
leisure on Marina beach. You can also visit Cholamandalam, an
interesting artist’s village located near the beach.
Overnight at the hotel.
Day 02
To Tirupati ( 152 kms). Although located in the State of
Andhra Pradesh, the town borders with Tamil Naidu and is best accessible
through Chennai ( Madras) with everlasting serpentine long queues you
will visit the temple next day with ample time in hand.
Day 03
Early morning depart for Tirumalai Hilla and visit the Temple
of Lord Venkateswara. Offer pooja and participate in prayers etc. return
to hotel after completing the religious rituals.
Day 04
Visit the Temple of Goddess Alamelumarga at Tiruchanur.
Return to hotel ( option 2nd visit the Temple of Lord Venkateswara, if
desired).
Day 05
Transfer to airport for flight to Hyderabad. Transfer to
hotel. Afternoon visit the bustling markets around Charminar including
the famous Hyderabadi peal market. Evening at leisure at the Hussain
Sagar Lake Tnak Bend. A favourite promenade along the lake which
separates the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secundrabad.
Overnight at the hotel.
Day 06
Visit Mecca Masjid, one of the longest mosque in India which
has a capacity to hold 10,000 people at prayer time. Started by Sultan
Qutab Shahi in 1614, it took almost a century to build the mosque, at
various stages of construction. Spend rst of the day to explore the
wornderful antiquities at Salar Jung Museum, an unusual collection of
rare and beautiful antiques which were the personal collection of Nawab
Salar Jung III.
Overnight at the hotel.
Day 07
Transfer to airport for flight to Delhi or Mumbai to connect
onward flight.
