An enchanting land of sandalwood and coffee, abandoning in scenic
gracious cities, splendid temples, grand historic sites, alluring
wildlife sanctuaries are some of the facts of this dynamic state of
Karnataka. Bangalore the State’ Capital captivates with its pulsating
liveliness – sprawling greenery, jet set discotheques, drolling resto-bars
and fashionable shopping malls are a few of the facts that attract
visitors to this Western coastal state which prides in her Hoysala
heritage of the ancient capitals of Belur, Halebid, Hassan to the more
modern state of the art Wadeyar rulers of Mysore.

Day 01
Arrive Bangalore and transfer to hotel. A gracious jet set city
India’s major software centre. Sprawling gardens , neo Dravidian
architecture, aromatic centre the city has a wide storage of surprises
for every visitor.
Day 02
Breakfast. Visit Cubbon Park with a periphery of 120 hectare, houses
the High court, Museum, Industrial & Technoligical museum, Vidhana
Sooudha ( Secretariat and Legislature Assemble), Lal Bagh an 18th
century legacy left by the former rulers Hyder Ali and his son Tipu
Sultan.
Day 03
Breakfast. Drive to Hassan enroute tour of ancient Hoysala town of
Belur and Halebid.
Halebid – founded in 11th AD by King Bishnu Vardhana and formerly known
as Dwarasamdhara, the Hoyareswara and Shanteleswara Temples are
dedicated to Lord Shiva.
Belur is noted for its superb temple architecture Chennakesa one of
earliest star shaped Hoysala temple was constructed in 1146 AD by King
Vishnu Vandhana, with a profusion of carving which rise one above the
other horizontally, built on squat high platform, other shrines are
Veeranarayana Temple , Kappa Chennigaraya and Soumayanayaki Temples.
Overnight at the hotel.
Day 04
Breakfast. Drive to Mysore enroute visit Shravanabelgola and
Srirangapatnam.
Sharavanabelgola ( meaning naked ascetic amidst white pond) is one of
the most sacred Jainism’s pilgrimage and the greatest of all Jain
monuments, a 57 feet tall monolith statue of Saint Gomateswara situated
a top the Indrahiri Hills, it is visible from a distance of 25 km ahead.
Srirangapatnam – an island fortress ruin of Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan,
the summer palace Daria Daulat has beautiful wall paintings. Transfer to
hotel. Evening visit the Brindavan Gardens in illumination.
Day 05
Breakfast. Visit Chamarajendra Art Gallery at Jagan Mohan Palace
dating back to 1875, Mysore Zoo , St. Philomena’s Church, Maharaja’s
Palace built in 1911 in Indo Saracenic Style, Temple of Goddess
Chamundeshwari on Chamundi Hill.
Day 06
Breakfast. Drive to Ooty. Tyransfer to hotel. A picturesque hill
station in the Nilgiri mountains of the resort ghats in neighbouring
Tamil Nadu state, the hill resort is spread out over a large area
amongst rolling hills, vales, water falls. Visit Ooty Lake with facility
for boating, Botanical garden, rose Garden with 1900 varieties of roses
planted on 10 acres of land.
Day 07
Breakfast. Drive down to Mettupalayam and take a ride on the narrow
gauge single track Nilgiri Mountain railway and amazing engineering feat
which runs between Mettupalayam and Ooty town punctuated by long eerie
tunnels piercing through the mountains, numerous bridges over deep
ravines and gushing streams, perilous gorges and precipitous cliffs. On
return visit Doddabetta peak the highest point in Ooty for a picturesque
view, Wenlock Downs. Drive to Mysore. Transfer to hotel.
Day 08
Breakfast. Drive to
Bangalore to connect onward flight
