Nagerhole National Park is considered to be the finest Tiger habitat in South India. The balmy climate, dense jungles are home to an astonishing abundance of wildlife. Large herds of Indian bison roam near grassy swamps and herds of elephants wondering on the banks of Kabini river. The gentle slopes that melt into shallow valleys are covered with moist deciduous forests of dark rosewood and teak trees. One can’t fail to spot the handsome four – horned antelopes, the magnificent peacocks and the prowling leopard.

Area : Core Zone 572 sq. km – 643 sq. km including the buffer zones.

Main wildlife : Elephant, Tiger, Panther, Chital, Sambar, Sloth Bear, Barking Deer, Spotted Deer, Striped Hyena, Crocodile, Python, Cuckoos, Eagle, Fly Catcher, Wood Pecker, Skylark, Stork.

Bandipur National park The geographical proximity among the two parks Bandipur and Nagarhole , separated by the Kabini river, ensures homogeneity of wildlife and forest vegetation. The Tiger, through present is rarely sighted in Bandipur. The wildlife is dominated by wild elephants, habitual of seasonal migration. Wet season is best to see herds of the majestic creatures. An estimated 1400 of wild elephants inhabit Bandipur. The Gaur, another great attraction is gradually decreasing in strength of numbers after the 1968 epidemic.

Area : 874 sq. kms.

Main wildlife : Elephant, Tiger, gaur, sambar, chital, wild dog, sloth bear, partridge, barking deer, Indian langur, flying lizard, Indian giant squirrel , bonnet macaque, slender loris, leopard, common otter, malabar pied horn hill, hill myna, rock python.

Periyar Tiger Reserve - A short distance from civilization, there is a place which is the abode of many rare animals, birds, butterflies, plants in the western ghats of Kerala, the land of green magic with coconut and banana plantations, interspersed with the back water lagoons with fishing boats, the man made Periyar Lake at 914 meter above sea level and the serene environment which lures the tourist. Thekkady is a protected territory within the Periyar Tiger Reserve. The distant trumpets of the Indian elephant, the deep awakening growl of Tiger, the flapping of macaques, great Indian horn hill and over 35 different species of Mammals, 112 species of butterflies, 265 documented species of bird and 1800 flowering plants offer immense opportunities to a tourist to see this unique flora and fauna from a close range.

Main wildlife : Elephants, Tiger, Gaur, Sambar, Barking Deer, Wild Boar, Tuskers, Black Nilgiri Langurs, Racket Tailed Drongos, White Egrets, Kingfishers, Grey Horn Hill, Grey Herons, Fish Owls.

Day 01
Arrive Delhi and transfer to hotel. Afternoon tour of New Delhi. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02
Breakfast. Transfer to airport for flight to Bangalore. Afternoon city tour visiting Vidhan Soudha, Cubbon Park, Lal Bagh. Overnight at hotel.

Day 03
Breakfast. Drive to Mysore enroute visit Srirangapatnam – fortress built by Tipu Sulatan, the summer Palace has beautiful wall paintings. Evening visit illuminated Brindavan Garden. Overngiht at hotel.

Day 04
Morning visit Mysore Palace, Chamudi Temple. Later drive to Nagarhole National Park and check-in at hotel. Afternoon game viewing. Overnight at hotel.

Day 05
Morning and afternoon game viewing. Overnight at hotel.

Day 06
Morning and afternoon game viewing. Overnight at hotel.

Day 07
Breakfast. Drive to Bandipur and on arrival check-in at hotel. Afternoon game viewing. Overnight at hotel.

Day 08
Morning and afternoon game viewing. Overnight at hotel.

Day 09
Breakfast Drive to Coonoor visit Sims Park, Loz Falls and nearby tea estate. Overnight at hotel.

Day 10
Drive to Madurai and check-in at hotel. Afternoon visit Meenakshi Temple, Tirumalai Nayak Palace, Vardiyar Mariammar Teppakulam Dam fed by the Vaiga River. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 11
Breakfast. Drive to Periyar and check-in at hotel. Afternoon boat cruise of Periyar Lake for game viewing. Overnight at hotel.

Day 12
Breakfast. Morning and afternoon game viewing. Overnight at hotel.

Day 13
Breakfast. Drive to Kumarakom and on arrival check-in at House boat of Vembanad Lake. Overnight on board the house boat.

Day 14
Disembark from House boat and drive to Cochin. Afternoon visit Mattancherry – Paradesi Jewish Synagogue, Dutch Palace and Koonan Kurishu Chapel. Evening boat cruise on Cochin harbour to see the Chinese fishing nets.

Day 15
Breakfast. Morning visit Cochin Fort, St. Francis Church, Basilica of Santa Cruz, Dutch Cemetery. Transfer to airport for flight to Delhi. Transfer to hotel.

Day 16
Breakfast. Transfer to airport for onward flight.
