The Garha Safari Lodge is located on a hill, overlooking Rudramata Dam, 12 kms from Bhuj Railway station and 14 kms from Bhuj Airport. Following the local architectural style, the cottages have been designed as the traditional bhungas- round white-washed huts with thatched roofs.
Although quite rustic in look and feel, the cottages are complete with modern amenities like en suite shower rooms and private sit-outs. However, the rooms have no TV which encourages the guests and to explore the outdoors. The location is ideal to enjoy the unusual beauty of the surrounding countryside. People fond of bird watching have ample opportunities on the lake, while those with the wanderlust can visit the tribes and villages north of Bhuj. The property also has a swimming pool and garden overlooking the lake.
Added attractions of the Lodge include musical evenings with local artists, particularly during winter. The location, a 45 minute drive from Bhuj, is convenient for people arriving from either the station or the airport, and it also allows guests to visit the nearby places to get a feel of the rural India. It is to be noted that due to Prohibition in Gujarat, alcohol is not served at the Lodge.
