This tour will give a deep insight into the luxurious life style of the Maharaja’s of Rajasthan in the by gone era, when India had independent Princely States under the patronage of the British colonial India, until the merging of the Princely states into an Independent India. Many of the Maharajas retained their pompous living till the late 90’s and gradually these forts, palaces and havelies were converted into heritage hotels. Some members of the royal families still maintain their private living quarters within the forts and palaces which you will be staying in during the tenure of your tour. The entire tour is by surface, drive through this vibrant land of colour, valour, and chivalry, each with its own haunting memories.


Day 01
Arrive Delhi, Transfer to hotel for overnight.

Day 02
Breakfast. Morning tour of New Delhi visiting India Gate, Parliament House, President’s Palace, Humayun’s Tomb, Lotus Temple, Qutab Minar. Afternoon tour of Old Delhi visiting Raj Ghat ( Gandhi Memorial), Red fort, Jama Mosque, Chandini Chowk. Return to hotel enroute visit Birla Temple. Overnight at hotel.

Day 03
Breakfast. Drive to Pataudi. Check-in to Hotel. Afternoon visit temples and Palaces. Overnight at hotel.

Day 04
Brekfast. Drive to Mandawa. Check-in to hotel. Afternoon tour of the Haveli’s ( Mansions) some centuries old. Overnight at hotel.

Day 05
Breakfast. Drive to khimsar. Check-in to a 16th Century Fort, now a heritage hotel. At leisure to enjoy the surroundings, swim, play tennis, enjoy the health club. Overnight at hotel.

Day 06
Breakfast. Drive to Jaisalmer and check-in to hotel. Afternoon visit Sam Sand Dunes. Ride a camel. Watch the sunset over the shifting Sand dunes. Overnight at hotel.

Day 07
Breakfast. Morning tour of 12th Century Fort, Jain Temple, Gadisar Tank, Folk Museum. Afternoon visit the Old city with its narrow cobbed sheets and various Diwan Nathman ki Haveli and Badal Vilas Palace. Overnight at hotel.

Day 08
Breakfast. Drive to Jodhpur enroute visit Pokharan. Checkin to Hotel. Afternoon visit the ruins of the ancient Marwar Capital the Hall of Heroes, Shrine of the 300 million Gods. Return to the Old city and walk through Sajati Gati towards Sadar Bazar with its ornate Clock Tower as land mark. Overnight at hotel.

Day 09
Breakfast. Morning tour of Mehrangarh fort, Jai Pole, Loha Pole, Moti Mahal, Sheesh Mahal and Rang Mahal. Proceed to Jaswathada the marble centoph of Maharaja Jawant Singh 2nd. Afternoon visit Osian – Jain Mahavir Temple, Sati Mata Temple, Surya Temple. Overnight at hotel.

Day 10
Breakfast. Drive to Luni. Check-in to a Heritage Fort. At Leisure. The village Luni is nestled in the Shadows of the Forts walls with artisan fashioning metal, clay or wood in the intricately carved handicrafts. Overnight at hotel.

Day 11
Breakfast. Drive to Narlai. Check-in the 17th century Fortress which was used as a hunting lodge by the Maharaja of Jodhpur. At leisure. Overnight at hotel.

Day 12
Breakfast. Drive to Udaipur enroute visit Ranakpur Temples. Check-in to hotel. At leisure. Late afternoon boat cruise on Lake Pichola visitng small island in habited by endemic and migratory bird, Gangam Ghat, halt at Jag Mandir Palace. Watch the Sunset as the birds return to their habitat.
 

Day 13
Breakfast. Morning tour of City Palace, Museum, Jagdish Temple, Folk Art Museum, Sahelion-ki-bari, Sajjan Niwas Garden, Pratap Smarak, drie past Fateh Sagar Lake. Overnight at hotel.

Day 14
Breakfast. Drive to Deogarh. Check-in a heritage Palace. At leisure. Option Horse riding. Overnight at hotel.

Day 15
Breakfast. Drive to Pink city of Jaipur famous for its Palaces and impregnable forts. Check-in to hotel. Afternoon visit City Palace, Museum, Observatory, Hawa Mahal, Albert Hall Museum. Return to hotel via visit to Johari Bazar. Overnight at hotel.

Day 16
Breakfast. Morning excurstion to Amber fort inclduign an elephant ride. Afternoon concentrate on the gem and jewelry shops at Joahari Bazzar – the world’s biggest Gem and Semi precious stone market. Overnight at hotel.

Day 17
Breakfast. Drive to Karauli. Check-in to a 17th century heritage Palace. The ruling family of Karauli are descendents of Lord Krishna. Afternoon excursion to the Lake for bird watching. Optional ride a camel, horse, a camel cart. Overnight at hotel.

Day 18
Breakfast drive to Agra enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri and Tomb of Salim chisti. Check-in to hotel. Afternoon visit Agra Fort. Overnight at hotel.
Breakfast. Spend the morning at leisure at the magnificent Tomb of Mumtaz Mahal – The Taj Mahal. Soak in to the world heritage site one of the 7 wonders of the world. Late afternoon drive to Delhi Airport to connect onward flight home
