The lush coastal strip in the South West of India, is a land apart. Endowed with the Western ghats a green paradise of undulating hills and valleys, the high ranges of Idukki forests rich in flora and fauna, Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary provides natural habitat to elephants, tiger, bison, spotted deer and gaur. Sprawling pal fringed beaches along the coast of Arabian Sea. A network of backwaters, lagoons and canals, the life time of the natives who live and thrive along the banks. Float through the backwaters and enjoy the splendour of the countryside. A destination which is so enthralling that the Keralites call their homeland “ Gods Own Country”.


Day 01
Arrive Cochin. Transfer to hotel. After visit Mattancherry’s Jewish town – Paradesi Synagogue, Dutch Palace, Shrine of Koonan Kurishu with the “ Holy Cross” on which the oath of Konam Krushu had taken place in 1653 AD.
Evening watch Kathakali performance. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02
Breakfast. Drive to Thekkady check-in at Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Afternoon boat cruise on Periyar Lake for game viewing. All meals. Overnight at hotel.

Day 03
Game viewing of the Sanctuary. All meals. Overnight at hotel.

Day 04
Breakfast. Drive to Kottyama. Formerly a capital of the Thekkumur Rajas, the existence of ancient religious shrines of different communities in close proximity is an evidence of the glorious tradition of religious tolerance of the natives.
Afternoon visit Thirunakkara Shiva Temple, St. Mary’s Church at Valiapally and Cheriyapally have exquisite Biblical mural and the Persian Cross, St. Joseph’s Monastery at Mannanam, an import Christian pilgrimage.

Day 05
Breakfast drive to Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary on Vembanad Lake. Home to some rare species of migratory and endemic bird. Return to Kottayam.

Day 06
Breakfast. Travel by ferry to Alleppey, a centre for backwater cruises in Kerala with its vast network of canals. Most exhilarating experience to sight some native life and small hamlets along the .

Day 07
Breakfast. One more backwater cruise from Alleppy to Quillon enroute pass through Changanacherry. Quillon an enchanting seaport town on the banks of Ashtamudi Lake, the twon has maintained a commercial reputation from ancient timers with Phoenicians, Persians, Arabs, Greeks, Romans, Chinese and finally mercenaries.

Day 08
Breakfast. Drive to Kovalam beach resort. At leisure.

Day 09
At leisure in Kovalam.

Day 10
Drive to Trivandrum airport for onward flight.
