Over a period of 3 days the town of Aizwal in Mizoram explodes with joy well represented by beatings of the gongs and rifle parade which is the feather in the cap of the festival. Thousands of tourists arrive to watch hundreds of beautiful local girls and energetic men adorned in colorful attire perform dances with bamboo sticks. The Cheraw Dance represents the start of the festival.
