In this trip, travelers get a unique chance to engage with local artisans and acquire a behind-the-scenes look at the rich heritage that has been passed on for generations together. The highlights of this tour include –

• A trip to the craft’s museum where you will receive live demonstrations on a variety of tribal and rural crafts. Watch our artisans create magic right in front of your eyes. Engage in discussion with these craftsmen with the help of our multilingual guides.

• Visit the tomb of Nizamuddin Auliya to witness a mesmerizing Sufi Quwwali performance. Soak in this 800 year old vibrant tradition and feel the oneness with the divine powers high above.

TOUR START/END: Our guide can fix a taxi for you to get back to the hotel or we can also arrange for your pickup and drop from/to your hotel with an extra cost. Please write to us for cost.

TOUR DURATION: 3-4 hours depending on your interest.

GROUP SIZE: Maximum 6 people and Minimum 2 People.

INCLUSIONS: Local English speaking guide, entrance fees and transport as indicated.

EXCLUSIONS: Items of a personal nature, tips / gratuities for guide & driver.

WHEN: Every Thursday . Evening 3.30 PM. Prior reservation required. Timings may vary slightly depending on weather / season. We will confirm the exact start time along with tour logistics once you book the tour.

WHAT TO WEAR: Since we will be visiting the tomb of Nizamuddin Auliya, you are requested to dress modestly as not to offend any individual. Wear comfortable shoes that allow you to walk for hours.

TOUR NOTES: Please note, the food on the street is delicious but does not meet national or international hygiene standards. Although we only go to very popular places, with good local reputations, these stalls do not cook using bottled water or wash their utensils with it. So eating street food is always risky. If you prefer not to risk it, but still want to see what it’s all about, then at the end of the walk, we can take you to Haldirams where you can try chaats and other popular dishes in safe and hygienic conditions.
