Sonar Kila – the Golden Fort was built by Rawal Jaisal in 1156. A fortified settlement, Sonar Kila contains not only the royal palaces, but also temples, mansions, bazaars and residential areas. It is the perfect place to view the culmination of Jaisalmer’s grandeur and its bustling vivacity.
