Legend states that the city was once the location of Indraprastha, the capital of the Pandava clan. Delhi is home to 1,200 heritage structures, over 175 historical monuments and is a major travel hub.

Visit the impressive Red Fort and Humayuns Tomb, Jama Masjid, Qutab Minar, India Gate, Lotus Temple; explore Chandini Chowk, the Gandhi Memorial at Raj Ghat; Parliament Museum, National Museum, Bangla Sahib - Sikh Temple; experience cultural and ethnic diversity at the colorful "Dilli Haat", an open-air food plaza cum craft bazaar.

 

Agra (2 nights)

Visit the Agra, located on the banks of the river Yamuna. Agra is best known the world over as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its 3 grandiose monuments - Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri. Visit the sublime white marbled mausoleum of the Taj Mahal at sunrise and sunset; see the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah; admire the magnificent Agra Fort . Enjoy a decorated tonga ride (a horse drawn carriage, popular in olden days) through the fabled city.

Visit the Gwalior's huge fort was constructed in the 15th century, a vast complex that encompasses several interesting temples, ruined palaces. Also visit the deserted Man Singh Palace is a definite highlight.

Orchha is a charismatic town in the state of Madhya Pradesh founded by King Rudra Pratap Singh. The 16th century town was subsequently ruled by the Bundela Rajput leader under whom the region saw a lot of development. Today, the town is a captivating tourist attraction visited by people who wish to explore the Orchha fort-palace and the Raj Mandir that was constructed in the late 1500s.

Activities

Visit the elegant Lakshmi Narayan Temple and wonderful murals in the Raj Mahal notable highlights. Stroll along the river to watch the sunset and visit the Ram Raja Temple, a converted palace of pink tiles and gold domes.

Proceed for a guided tour of Khajurhao to visit the Dating back to the Chandela dynasty, this complex of 21 exquisite stone-carved temples is mainly famed for its Kama Sutra decorations.

Varanasi is a holy city and is famous as one of the oldest cities in the world. Also popularly known as Banaras, it is located in the state of Uttar Pradesh on the banks of Holy Ganges.

Activities

Early morning start your day at sunrise with our local guide , to enjoy a boat ride on the Ganges at dawn, when it is full of pilgrims, is an amazing experience, and your guide can explain to you the various rituals taking place. Later in the day visit Banaras Hindu University, Bharat Mata Temple and Sarnath where the Buddha preached his first sermon and Sanarth Museum. Also witness the thousand-year-old Aarti Ceremony during which worshippers pray near the water by the light of candles and lanterns.
