Soft Adventure Tours -
Elephant Safaris
The culture of Indian subcontinent
is closely intertwined with the elephant. Elephants are widely venerated
and respected as a wise and gentle soul. We even have a god with
Elephant head!!! If you stay in urban areas during your trip, you will
probably see domesticated elephants walking down the street. These are
used for special occasions (e.g. weddings, with the groom riding to the
alter).
In their more natural habitat - in National parks and sanctuaries,
Elephants are used as transportation for seeing the unique flora and
fauna of the region.
India Calling Tours can specially organize these trips for you where you
savour the jungle with one of the most fascinating, magnificent mammals
in the world.
Safari Details
Our contacts with specialty lodges will give you the opportunity to see
these parks on the back of an elephant. From 10+ feet off the ground,
you have a wider view, and since many animals do not view elephants as a
threat, and cannot distinguish the humans on the elephants, you can move
quite closely for incredible photography and observation.
Immerse yourself in the beauty of the wilderness in the most exciting
Elephant Safaris. Get close to wildlife as you admire nature’s wonders
like the Sambar deer, spotted deer, wild elephants, tigers, leopards,
and a great variety of birds.
