Tiger Sightings at Pench

The ultimate tiger habitation, Pench is blessed with a richly wooded area full of tropical moist deciduous trees. Approximately 20 percent of the core region of the tiger habitat is open to public for most months of the year. Visitors can choose to take a safari at dawn or another one at sunset to catch the animals out on their prowl. The authorities limit the quantity of vehicles in the park at a time. This ensures the animals remain undisturbed encouraging them to freely roam the sanctuary and maximize sightings.

Tourism in Pench Tiger Reserve

Tourists from all over the country and beyond visit to view and photograph the majestic tigers in Pench. They go on to find a number of other animals and flora of interest in the exotic sanctuary. Primates such as the common langur are glimpsed along with the black-naped hare and Chinkara or Gazelles in the forested regions. Neelgai and the small Indian civet can be found alongside the roads that stretch through the park.

Since the reserve is a part of the Indo-Malayan phytogeographical expanse, striped hyena, Barking deer and rhesus macaque are also routinely sighted.
